PTSD Treatment in Wilmington: Support for Healing and Recovery

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) doesn’t always follow a single event. Sometimes it’s one defining moment; other times it’s the slow accumulation of experiences that the body and mind never fully process. The result can be vivid memories, emotional numbness, anxiety, or sudden waves of fear that seem to appear without warning.

At Therapeutic Infusions, we understand that trauma rewires more than the brain - it can reshape how a person feels, thinks, and connects with the world. Our psychiatric team provides trauma-informed care that’s compassionate, medically sound, and tailored to each patient’s experience.

Understanding PTSD

PTSD can develop after exposure to trauma such as accidents, violence, loss, or prolonged stress. Symptoms often include intrusive memories, avoidance, hyper-vigilance, or emotional detachment. For some, these symptoms appear right away; for others, they emerge years later.

Our psychiatric nurse practitioners (PNPs) are trained to identify the many ways trauma presents itself. They work to uncover the underlying triggers and patterns while helping patients develop coping tools that restore a sense of safety and control.

A Personalized Treatment Approach

Your first visit with a PNP is about understanding - not labeling. Together, you’ll discuss your history, current challenges, and what healing might look like for you. From there, we’ll build a plan that fits your comfort level and goals.

That plan may include:

  • Medication management to reduce anxiety, flashbacks, and sleep disturbance
  • Therapeutic support focused on rebuilding trust and processing emotions safely
  • Grounding and mindfulness strategies to help regulate the body’s stress response
  • Ongoing follow-up to monitor progress and adapt care over time

A Trauma-Informed Environment

Our clinic was built to feel calm, private, and secure. Each member of our team understands that trust takes time. We listen first, move at your pace, and make every effort to ensure you feel comfortable throughout your care.

The Strength of an Integrative Team

Therapeutic Infusions is led by Dr. Joseph Raziano , a board-certified emergency physician with decades of experience treating acute trauma, and Dr. Jeanne-Marie Raziano , DMin, whose background in ministry and therapeutic care adds a depth of empathy rarely found in medical settings. Together, they’ve cultivated a practice that honors both the science of psychiatry and the human experience of recovery.

Our psychiatric nurse practitioners carry that same balance forward - combining evidence-based treatment with genuine compassion and respect for each patient’s story.

Accessible, Compassionate Care

Many people wait months for psychiatric appointments in Delaware. At Therapeutic Infusions, we make care available quickly, with both in-person and virtual options. Whether your trauma is recent or long-standing, you’ll find consistent support and follow-through from providers who truly understand.

Because recovery isn’t just about surviving what happened - it’s about rediscovering who you are beyond it.
